Every Exit Is An Entry: The Life and Work of Liam O'Gallagher shares the art, writing and story of a highly original individual and creative catalyst in 20th century art and literature. With his life-partner Robert Rheem and close circle of friends, O'Gallagher inhabited the world of free-thinkers, painters, beat poets and sages, quietly impacting the lives of others. With unprecedented access to the artist's archives and journals, author Kevin Wallace explores O'Gallagher's life and work, joined by guest authors and insights from friends and associates, including Jan Herman, Michael McClure, India Supera, Lewis Warsh, Roshi Joan Halifax and Gerd Stern.
Featuring a number of previously unpublished works, the book is a journey through the cultural landscape of the 20th century - a marriage of text and imagery by award-winning designer Ron Shore that is a work of art in itself.

"Writing the book on Liam O'Gallagher was a fascinating experience," says Kevin Wallace, Director of the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts. "He spent his life avoiding the spotlight, yet knew so many important historical figures, including writer/philosophers Aldous Huxley and Alan Watts, poets Allen Ginsberg and James Merrill, and artists Marcel Duchamp and Andy Warhol. And, of course, he was a close friend of Beatrice Wood, who he first met while teaching art at the Happy Valley School in 1948. The book and exhibition of Liam's work at the Center brings it all full circle."
