About the Instructor
Cynthia Gibson first discovered wood burning many years ago while in Norway, and with study, has created her own unique style of pyroengraving.
“I am enchanted by the aesthetic of wearable art and fashion design," Gibson says. "The arts of Asia have always been a strong inspiration. Creating personality through adornment is so satisfying for me."
Cynthia's collaborative work is included in noted corporate and private collections and has been published in journals including American Craft Magazine, Pyrography Magazine, American Woodturner, Charleston Magazine, Woodturning UK, British Woodworking, Woodworker West, Kokeshi Trends, and Creative Wood New Zealand.
She has presented for prestigious seminars and conducted classes in Norway, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Turkey, Hawaii, and England as well as throughout the US mainland.
