Thought Forms Book Cover
Kevin Wallace, Director of the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts, will present an afternoon workshop based on Thought Forms, the 1901 book by Annie Besant and Charles Leadbeater that inspired Wassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian, Paul Klee and countless other artists.
Participants will explore the ideas that pre-date and inspired abstract painting through insights into the processes of seeing and recording impressions in form and color.
"Professor Flores and I presented a three-day workshop on the subject a couple years ago, and there was enough material to keep everyone busy all weekend long," Wallace says. "In this workshop we'll scratch the surface, explore the ideas and create some small paintings."
