Performing in Libbey Park, Ojai

Nestled in the beautiful Ojai Valley city of Oak View, California, District 8 spans Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. A large and diverse district, it is made up of players from every age, every level of playing ability, and from an enhanced range of complimentary musical influences.

District 8’s membership is committed to preserving Old Time Music, but varies from traditionalists to folk, Americana, country, bluegrass, singer-songwriters, and many other newer folk music traditions. This rich musical diversity strengthens District 8’s commitment to education and provides the community with an active partner in developing and understanding the musical and cultural importance of Old-Time music, and its origins, derivatives, and future.

A Reception will follow the performance!
