American pianist and Steinway Young Artist Christopher Goodpasture is establishing himself as a bold and imaginative programmer of the classical repertoire. As the winner of the 2020 New York Concert Artists Worldwide Debut Auditions and the 2019 Astral Artists National Competition in Philadelphia, Christopher has since performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Koerner Hall in Toronto, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall, and Weill Recital Hall in New York City, as well as the festivals of Ravinia, Aspen, Caramoor, Sarasota, and Port Townsend. Additionally, he received top prizes at the Serge Koussevitszky Competition for Pianists and the Washington, Dallas, Iowa and Seattle international piano competitions.

Winner of the Most Distinguished Musician award 2005 IBLA International Competition in Italy, the Elixir Piano Trio has appeared in performances in Europe, Mexico and the United States. Founded in 2004, the dynamic Elixir Piano Trio performs both traditional and modern repertoire with classical, folk, and jazz influences.
Known for their unique and exciting interpretations, the Los Angeles based ensemble has dazzled audiences with their energy and sensitivity. The trio has become instrumental in promoting works by Contemporary composers.

She is an internationally acclaimed pianist, and some of her performance highlights include the Beverly Hills International Music Festival at Greystone Mansion in Los Angeles; the Ravinia Music Festival in Chicago; the Kolarac Music Hall in Belgrade, Serbia; the National Gallery in Oslo, Norway; Les Dimanches Musicaux and Atelier Concert Series in Paris; St. Olave’s Church and St. Mary Abbot’s Church in London; and performances with the Bombay Chamber Orchestra in India. She was recently showcased as a distinguished guest performer on Serbian national television, RTS.

In 1958, Beatrice Wood was photographed in front of a sign outside of her Ojai studio. You can read these words if you look closely--Fine Pottery: Reasonable and Unreasonable. That same year, Ed Pearl opened the doors to The Ash Grove at 8162 Melrose Avenue--a two hour drive away. If you replace Pottery with the word Music, the phrase fits his club perfectly.
The Ash Grove became a legendary folk and blues club that showcased a variety of regional and ethnic music. From gospel to jazz, Ladino to blues--the Ash Grove presented it all with imagination and respect. From its inception, until 1973, it was the hub of a highly influential folk music scene. Legendary artists, such as Ry Cooder, Muddy Waters, and Doc Watson, graced its stage.

American Mezzo-Soprano Diana Tash appears internationally in both operatic roles onstage and as a featured soloist. Her mezzo stage work has been hailed as “radiant” by the Los Angeles Times and “skillful” by the New York Times. On her latest album Bach Woman, produced by The Teshin Company, she appears with the Lyris Quartet, and other baroque string instruments. Home in Los Angeles, she is a sought after voice teacher and guest clinician, appearing in recital all over Southern California (and once at Carnegie Hall, too) with her longtime pianist Armen Guzelimian. Diana and world renowned counter-tenor Brian Asawa released an album of baroque duets “Spirits of the Air” in October 2014, and that year enjoyed critical acclaim with a mini tour that included dates in San Francisco, Los Angeles and in Mexico, at Guadalajara’s famed Teatro Degollado for the annual Festival de Mayo celebration.

After over two decades of enamoring audiences on the Concert stage and on Radio/Internet Airwaves, Ann Sweeten’s signature style is recognized world-wide. Often placed in the New Age genre, her style is decidedly unique, embracing not only the classical realm, but aspects of jazz, film scoring, and popular music. Sweeten’s music has aired and been reviewed across the world to wide critical acclaim. One of the most decorated pianists of the past decade with albums consistently ranking in the Top 5 NAR and ZMR Radio Charts, Sweeten is also one of the most played modern instrumentalists in North America. A truly well-rounded individual and artist, Ms. Sweeten is a staunch environmentalist, animal activist and vegetarian. In addition to her Concert and Recording career, she is also a professional actress/singer/dancer with Actor’s Equity Association. Ann Sweeten is herself a Breast Cancer survivor twice over, is involved with the Arts in Healthcare Initiative, and is now battling Leukemia.
Old time music is part of our cultural heritage, enjoyed by all ages, young and old alike. The style originated in England, Ireland and Scotland. Fiddlers were ever present in wagon trains and around campfires as the early settlers made their long journeys across the prairies and mountains bound for the west in California and Oregon. The music found its way to the western homesteads and was heard at barn raisings, community gatherings and dances.

In 1958, Beatrice Wood was photographed in front of a sign outside of her Ojai studio. You can read these words if you look closely--Fine Pottery: Reasonable and Unreasonable. That same year, Ed Pearl opened the doors to The Ash Grove at 8162 Melrose Avenue--a two hour drive away. If you replace Pottery with the word Music, the phrase fits his club perfectly.
