About the Artists:
Gather is a dream become reality; a manifestation of those ageless wonders that reside in us all: Light, time, vibration and transformation. The four-piece Los Angeles collective consisting of percussionists Ben Scanlan and Kevin Moran, vocalist Susana Pineda and saxophonist Nicolas Maldonado aim to offer the transformative power of real magic to the world through dance, sound, and color.
For their upcoming performance at Beatrice Wood Center For The Arts, Gather will be collaborating with visual artist Kendra Moran.
Kendra is a full-time artist and founder of Being Sacred Art. Her work embodies themes of community, sublime nature, the divine feminine, mysticism, and ceremony. She represents in art what feeds her soul. She connects deeply to the land and depicts sacred spaces and practices that honor, heal and allow the soul to grow and glow.
In collaboration, Kendra will be creating an altar in live time, while Gather presents a collection of fixed compositions and improvisations.
