"Life Forms"
Oak wood turned, reconstructed,
and painted
19" h x 12" w x 3" d (longest)
$3,300.00
These pieces were created from a mental image of primitive life -- perhaps
rising from the sea. The pieces are constructed from turned segments of
oak wood that are ebonized and then painted with metalized acrylics and
chemical
acids that create instant patinas. I was pleasantly surprised that the
strong grain patterns of the oak wood show through and add to the organic
character of the forms.
